Thailand – Asia
February 14 to March 30, 2026

Thailand will be a stage full of contrasts for Jimmy Pelletier. The journey will begin in Bangkok, the vibrant and bustling capital, known for its lively streets and majestic temples. Jimmy will leave the city and head north, passing through tropical plains and lush green rice fields. Along the way, he will encounter quaint villages and Buddhist temples, offering glimpses of local culture at every turn.

As he continues north, Jimmy will reach the mountainous regions, including renowned destinations like Chiang Mai, nestled in northern Thailand’s highlands. Here, the roads will become more winding, with frequent climbs testing his physical endurance. The mountainous landscapes will provide breathtaking views, with dense forests and deep valleys.

The warm, humid tropical climate will present a constant challenge, especially during long rides under the sun. Jimmy will also need to navigate intermittent tropical rains, common during this time of year.

After exploring the north, the route will take him back toward the central region, passing through historic cities like Khon Kaen and Ubon Ratchathani, before returning to Bangkok. This loop through Thailand will immerse Jimmy in Asian culture while confronting him with highly varied cycling conditions, ranging from busy urban roads to remote mountain trails.
