World Tour Governors

With great pride and enthusiasm, I accepted the role of Grand Governor of Jimmy Pelletier’s World Tour. My connection with Jimmy dates back to 2015, when we first met during his annual fundraising bike ride. Since then, I had the honor of participating in 8 of the 9 editions of this exceptional event, as well as cycling across Canada in 2019. These experiences have been some of the most memorable moments of sharing and solidarity in my life.

Jimmy embodies the values that are close to my heart: helping others, resilience, and commitment to people living with physical, intellectual, and autism spectrum disorders. His contagious energy, humanity, and ability to bring people together around such an essential cause are an endless source of inspiration.

Being a Grand Governor of this world tour is a unique opportunity to contribute to an adventure that goes beyond a sporting challenge. This project, filled with hope and solidarity, reflects a mission of inclusion and the social transformation I deeply believe in.

This world tour also represents a unique opportunity to support the visionary project led by Adaptavie: the creation of the Adaptavie Health Complex. This future center of excellence will transform the offering of services for people living with physical, intellectual, and autism spectrum disabilities. Designed as a reference hub, the complex will combine adaptive infrastructures with specialized healthcare services and innovative programs promoting social inclusion.

By contributing to this initiative, you are taking part in a concrete effort to improve the quality of life for thousands of people and building a future where inclusion and equity are not just aspirations but a reality.

I met Jimmy during the 2024 Randonnée, which ended in Matane, at one of our hotels. Jimmy, with his legendary big heart, invited my 4-year-old grandson Léo, who has cerebral palsy, to finish the tour with him on his adapted tricycle. It was a moment I’ll remember for the rest of my life. And that pretty much sums up Jimmy: a limitless determination to achieve the impossible, in a spirit of humanity, collaboration and commitment. A force of nature that brings people together, around an inspirational mission.

A few months later, it was at a meeting where Jimmy and his team had come to present his Tour du Monde project that I decided to become a Grand Gouverneur. This inspiring initiative demonstrates the extraordinary power of the human spirit, and the strength of a community rallied around a common goal: to enable people with physical or intellectual limitations to lead healthier, more satisfying lives.

By supporting this visionary project, which we hope will lead to the creation of the Complexe Santé Adaptavie, we are moving forward alongside Jimmy towards a more inclusive society. His commitment resonates deeply with our philosophy of driving change through leadership and action. Supporting Jimmy’s Tour du Monde is not only an honor, it’s also our responsibility as advocates of a better, more inclusive world.

Jimmy has been an inspiration to me for many years. I have had the privilege of attending several of his talks and volunteering for the Jimmy Pelletier Cycling Ride. Every time, it deeply touches me. Listening to him tell his story, the obstacles and challenges he has overcome, is a tremendous motivation.

He uses his own experience, whether passing by or living it himself, to help those with physical or intellectual disabilities live better lives. Jimmy is an extraordinary person, determined, generous, and always there for others. He never stops pushing his own limits to help others.

It is an honor to be in the presence of such a great man. He inspires us to be better people through his selflessness. By his side, through his experiences and all the challenges he has overcome, he shows us that anything is possible.

I had the pleasure of being a co-president of the Jimmy Pelletier Cycling Ride for two consecutive years. Each ride allowed us to experience an incredible and unforgettable adventure. Before meeting Jimmy a few years ago, I never imagined I’d take on such a challenge. It was during one of Jimmy’s talks that I decided to start road cycling and be part of the event.

What a privilege it is to ride alongside such a warm-hearted and generous man, whose well-being of others is a top priority! Bravo, Jimmy, for your unwavering dedication and contagious energy!
